Edgar applied for services from VR Nevada as a student with a disability as a high schooler. Through counseling and guidance, Edgar was encouraged to finish high school and work his way from a community college graduate all through his 4 year degree at University of Nevada Reno, majoring in Criminal Justice and Political Science. Edgar has recently participated in a soft skills workshop to improve his abilities to interface with an employer. Edgar and his counselor have worked hard through the program to accomplish these goals.
He now is using the Internal Job Team within VR Nevada to find employment to find a job in the 700 Hour Program, where he will become employed with the State of Nevada for 700 hours as his employer guides him into permanent employment at the end of that time period. Edgar will be utilizing VR services when he is hired and will use his 4 year degree for his job.
